STS Operation -Tanker
First STS operation of liquid cargo at Melaka handled by MR Marine is on 01 May 2028 appointed by Petronas for vessel Mt Orkim Harmony and Mt Star III. Second STS is on September 2019 and appointed by Petrotech.
Since that MR Marine has been appointed to handle STS operation at Tanjung Bruas and Melaka anchorage by other principals such as KAJ Energy Sdn Bhd, KA Petra, Thao Oil Public Co. :td, JCL Marine Pte Ltd, Blue Harbour Agency Pte Ltd, Candour Tankers FZE and others.
LPG transshipment was done by MR Marine as well and 4 shipmet is on 04 February 2022. Vessel involved for LPG STS such as Mt Celia Kribi & Gas Sellan also Gas Atlantica nd Gas Pacu.
First STS operation at Tan Port was handled by MR Marine is on February 2025 while second operation is on 22nd March 2025.
STS Operation -Petcoke
First STS petcoke shipment appointed by Carrigold Holding on 28th May 2020. Cargo volume 10,037.813mt has been transferred from barge Jin Hwa 41 to Mv Tay Son. This operation took place about 5 days from 02 June until 07 June 2020.
Second shipment of petcoke appointed by Profindo Pte Ltd on 06th December 2024. This operation was performed by barge In Thye 2503, barge In Thye 2707 and Mv PH Minh Giang. Total cargo is 19,353mt. The sts start on 12 December and completed on 23 December 2024.
Third shipment appointed by Profindo Pte Ltd. Total of cargo 5,540.080mt has been transferred from barge MC Prelude to Mv DS Prosperity 7. STS operatoin located at Melaka anchorage from 15th July until 16th July 2025.
Other Vessel
Other than experienced in STS petcoke, MR Marine also has experience to handle drybulk cargo at berth. 5,500mt of wood pellet loaded into Mv Ashico Symphony at Tanjung Bruas Port and operation took about 3 days.
MR Marine also experienced in handling cruise vessel since 2019. In 2024, MR Marine has handled 3 calls of cruise vessels appointed by Ben Line Agencies. Mv Le Jacques Cartier and Mv Le Laperouse has called Melaka on November and December 2024. Year 2025 only one call, Mv Le Soleal on 04th November 2025.
Husbandry Arrangement
MR Marine has handled several vessels during pandemic for husbandry services such as crew changes, provisions and fresh water supply, hot work permit and PCR test.
Mt Nordic Mistral arrived Melaka on 16 July 2020 for crew changes. 23 onsigners and 24 off-signers European nationality safely arrived afterforbidden to disembark due to pandemic.
Mv Blue Marlin, a semisubmersible heavylift with length 224.8m and capable to transport extremely large and heavy
cargo entered Tanjung Bruas on 28th August 2020
Offshore vessel Mv Normand Australis called melaka for sign on arrangement of 13 pax crews. Vessel arrived on 08th February 2021.
Triple E-Class container Mv Marie Maersk with length 339m called Melaka for PCR test on 10th August 2022
In July 2021, Mv Galapagos loaded with coal from Australia to India was collided with Mv Zephyr Lamos at Malacca Straits. MR Marine as a sub-agent fo Ben Line has assisted for transfer operation to Mv Agios Sostis via Mv RT Leo near to OPL Muar. The whole operation took place from 12th July until 05th September 2021.
Experienced to handle LNG vessel layup at Melaka anchorage since November 2023. Vessel stayed about 12 months while waiting for her next employment. During her stay, we have arranged for crew changes, crew shore leave, provisions, fresh water, store and spare supply, bunkering, deslopping, Owner and Technician attendance.
MR Marine has been appointed by LOTS Shipping to attend husbandry matter of Ghana navy vessel. Supplies such as fresh water, stores and spares, crew changes, Ghana Navy representatives has been arranged during her stay. GNS Achimote stayed at Melaka anchorage from 02nd November
until 23td November 2024 for maintenance before resume passage to Ghana.
Other than OPL Muar, we have done other arrangement at OPL Port Klang, OPL Melaka and OPL Port Dickson. Most of the arrangements are to deliver spares, Technician, Surveyor and Owner’s representative due to vessel breakdown and unable to proceed to the inner port limit. Special permit required for this kind of arrangement.
MR Marine is the agent for New KC Trading at Melaka. Mt KC One normally will receive bunker at Tanjung Bruas Port via road tanker then she will supply to the vessel at Melaka Port Limit.
MR Marine also can offer service of Straits Pilot for big vessel to passing the Malacca Straits safely. The latest arrangement is from Tanjung Ayam to Yan Kedah on 17 until th 19th February 2025.
The latest arrangement at OPL is we sent the Service Engineer to the vessel Mv Ever Aria, one of the biggest container vessel on 16 December 2025. Vessel has resumed passage to Netherlands.
